The Learning Academy Partnership have an exciting opportunity for Class teacher to join our School Trust Family, based in Dunsford Community Academy!

Dunsford Community Academy lies within the heart of the local community, just a half hour drive from both Exeter and Newton Abbot on the edge of the stunning Dartmoor National Park. As a smaller school there is a real sense of community; we value the incredible relationships we have with our families and aim to ensure that all our children have the best start in life and can flourish in all they do.

At first glance you may think Dunsford is tiny rural school, but when you visit you will realise that our site is breath-taking. From a full-sized football pitch to our wild garden and Forest School, our provision takes the fullest advantage of our fantastic outdoor space. The environment is very much part of the daily curriculum where a wealth of natural resources makes learning exciting and awe-inspiring for all children.

At Dunsford we are proud to provide children with an excellent early years and primary education. Our curriculum is rich and balanced, providing a wide range of experiences and opportunities for all. We empower children with the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to flourish, removing barriers to learning so every child, even the most vulnerable, can achieve their full potential.

We are looking for a Class Teacher to join our incredible team who can nurture and inspire our children, foster a love of learning, and make a profound difference to their lives. If you feel inspired by our mission, we would love to hear from you!

This is a great opportunity to be part of a wider team of teachers not just within our local South Devon Hub (Dartington C of E Academy and St Michael’s C of E Academy), but across the entire Trust, who all develop practice and share expertise. We are proud that we are a single organisation where professional development and growth is supported and celebrated. We are an organisation who want you to feel professionally nourished and one who supports wellbeing through our offer to you.

Our School Trust is underpinned by our four core beliefs;we are stronger together, a sense of belonging; removing barriers and realising the possible. This means that by working collectively, we can achieve our absolute best to ensure that children, especially the most vulnerable, can flourish.

We encourage applications from people from all backgrounds and aim to have a workforce that represents the wider communities that we serve. We champion diversity, inclusion and wellbeing and aim to create a workplace where everyone feels valued and a sense of belonging.

We can offer you:

·        The opportunity to make a profound difference to children’s lives.

·        A culture that takes work-life balance extremely seriously for all its colleagues.

·        The chance to work as part of a collective in a values-led school Trust, a single organisation.

·        High quality professional development and regular training to develop your knowledge and skills.

·        A strong, proactive wellbeing network across the School Trust

All our schools are each at the centre of their local communities and celebrate their individuality and distinctiveness. A core feature in how we work as a School Trust is our collective approach in delivering an exceptional education for all children. We do this through working very closely together in mutual support and challenge to empower excellence for our children, families, and the communities that we serve.

In short, our ethos is one of working together toEmpower, Excel, Together.
